Save the date: MAGPIE Port-City Workshop on 27 September, in Le Havre, France

MAGPIE, the sister project of PIONEERS, is organising the MAGPIE Port-City Conference on 27th September 2023, from 09:00 to 17:30 CET, in Le Havre, France. This event is co-organised by HAROPA Port (1st French commercial port), AIVP (International Association of Port Cities), and the 43 other partners from the MAGPIE consortium.

The event will focus on the role of local authorities in ports and on MAGPIE’s innovations, namely onshore power supply, alternative fuels and digital tools. Dedicated workshops on the topics will happen during the afternoon.

PIONEERS will play an active role in workshop 2, from 13:30 to 14:30, where Wouter Schmidt (University of Antwerp) will present the case of the PIONEERS project on impact assessment and evaluation.

MAGPIE (sMArt Green Ports as Integrated Efficient multimodal hubs) aims to force a breakthrough in the supply and use of green energy carriers in transport to, from and within ports. Furthermore, the project will facilitate and contribute to decarbonising port-related transport by demonstrating and implementing smart solutions in digitalisation and automation.
