Port of Antwerp-Bruges

Port of Antwerp-Bruges is the port managing body of Europe’s second largest seaport. It aims to be the pioneer smoothening the path for innovation while investing in those areas in which the market has not developed yet. The port authority aims to facilitate developments in the field of innovation, digitalisation, and sustainability, investing in e.g., developments in the field of CCU/CCS, data exchange (Nxtport) or water mobility.

With 1,650 employees playing an important role in day-to-day operations of the port, a sustainable future for the Port of Antwerp-Bruges ensures it can continue playing a leading role as an international seaport. The Port Authority manages and maintains the docks, bridges, locks, quay walls and land. It is also responsible for the efficient passage and safety of the shipping traffic in the Antwerp port area. It provides tugs, carries out dredging work and promotes the port in Belgium and abroad.
