On 19th October, all 46 project partners met at the Port House in Antwerp for the PIONEERS General Assembly.
All Work Packages presented the project developments and achievements and shared the ideas and methodologies as well as the next actions to be taken. The meeting was an opportunity to reinforce the co-creation process of the path towards the Green Port Masterplan for the harmonised greening of EU ports.
Interactive sessions and knowledge exchange were a precious source of the open learning process, based on the work developed in the WP1 Market uptake of PIONEERS PORTable Innovations, WP2 Green Ports Master Plan, WP3 PIONEERS Actions: requirements co-definition, specifications, cross-action alignment and deployment monitoring, WP4 Clean Energy production, storage & supply, WP5 Sustainable Port design, WP6 Modal Shift and Flows Optimisation, WP7 Digital Transformation, WP8 Co-transferability of PIONEERS innovations, WP9 impact assessment and process evaluation, WP10 Cross-cooperation, Communication and Dissemination.
In addition, the Assembly was a chance to focus on the concept of the Green Port Masterplan and what it exactly means for ports and their local environment, reflecting on the transferability tools and the level of customisation needed to succeed in adopting the greening innovations.
19th October was only the beginning of 3 relevant days for PIONEERS. After the International Conference on 20th, the partners had a great chance to network and to know each other better through a pleasant boat tour in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, strengthening the cooperation to look forward to a sustainable future for the ports industry.
