On 8–9 May 2025, the PIONEERS and MAGPIE projects jointly hosted an interactive session during the ESPO Conference 2025 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The session, entitled “Green Port Master Planning: Taking the Lessons from European Projects to Your Port,” brought together stakeholders from across Europe to explore strategies for sustainable port transformation.

🔹 Inge De Wolf, representing the Port of Antwerp-Bruges and serving as Project Coordinator for PIONEERS, presented key strategies and milestones from both projects, with a focus on the development of Green Port Master Plans.

🔹 The session provided valuable insights into real-world implementation, addressing the challenges, solutions, and best practices that are shaping the future of European ports.

🔹 Both the PIONEERS and MAGPIE projects are on track to deliver comprehensive Green Port Master Plans by the end of 2026. These initiatives aim to support ports across Europe in their transition toward net-zero emissions by 2050.
