Within PIONEERS, Univers deployed its Carbon Management solution at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, helping transform everyday port operations data into transparent and auditable greenhouse gas reporting.

By integrating energy consumption and on-site renewable generation data, the platform consolidates information into a single carbon view, with emissions classified by both source and scope.

The demonstration achieved an important milestone: two years of operational data were collected—twice the original objective. The solution now enables reporting of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions at Port Authority level, providing a stronger foundation for tracking performance and supporting informed decarbonisation decisions.

A great example of how digital solutions and high-quality operational data can help ports move from carbon measurement to meaningful climate action.
