We’re excited to share the latest PIONEERS demonstrator video showcasing the Energy Generation from Water Currents – Green Hydropower Platform.

This innovative solution builds on the collaboration between De Meyer NV and Port of Antwerp-Bruges to develop an integrated Green Hydropower Platform designed for various types of port infrastructure. The platform includes a turbine with an energy-efficient axial-flux engine/generator that connects to the electricity grid, thus providing electricity for instance from the water current in the lock.

A great example of how strong partnerships and innovation can accelerate the energy transition in European ports.
