Maritime operations often face challenges like ship delays and outdated tracking systems, which not only lead to emissions, increased costs, and safety concerns but also decrease overall efficiency.

To address these challenges, PIONEERS consortium partners CENIT and Port de Barcelona, are working together on the Intelligent Vessel Location System. This demo involves the installation of a 5G network, smart cameras, and an artificial intelligence algorithm to improve the accuracy and real-time tracking of vessel locations, calculating their exact positioning.
