PIONEERS consortium partners Imec, Seafar, Port of Antwerp-Bruges, University of Antwerp and Danser aim to revolutionize waterborne transportation by exploring the potential of remotely operated automated vessels managed from a central Shore Control Centre, where a captain can supervise several vessels at the same time, enhancing observations and decision-making which result in an increased safety.
