HUTCHISON PORTS: TCT BELGIUM & ECT DELTA TERMINAL

ECT Rotterdam and TCT Belgium are members of Hutchison Ports, a subsidiary of the multinational conglomerate CK Hutchison Holding (CKHH). The Hutchison Ports network operates in 52 ports, spanning 26 countries throughout Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the Americas and Australasia.

 

TCT BELGIUM:

Strategically situated between Antwerp and Brussels, TCT Belgium substantially unburdens its customers in terms of logistics. The inland terminal on the Scheldt-Brussels Canal in Willebroek organises both the transport of containers to and from the seaport and the on-demand pick-up and delivery of containers right at the customer’s doorstep. 

 

TCT Belgium is situated at the heart of a rapidly growing region for European distribution and its location near major motorways, makes TCT Belgium an attractive hub for distribution deeper into Europe.

 

ECT ROTTERDAM:

Europe Container Terminals BV in Rotterdam is the owner of ECT Delta Terminal B.V. and Hutchison Ports Venlo, a multimodal container terminal on the Dutch – German border. Being part of the ECT Group, Hutchison Ports Venlo comprises both a rail terminal and a barge terminal.

 

Hutchison Ports Venlo offers customers a wide range of services, such as the short-term and long-term storage of full containers, the on-demand collection and delivery of containers at the customer and an empty container depot. Moreover, Hutchison Ports Venlo offers transport services to and from the deep-sea ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp and several inland destinations.

 

Roles in PIONEERS:

 

The organisations will provide a contribution to the electro-mobility in transport and sustainable energy supply and storage, as well as optimising freight flows for low-emission mobility and energy-efficient and green port operations and buildings. Moreover, it will have a strong presence in green and smart logistics, as well as improving air quality and reducing waterborne and other transport emissions.
