New Drop: DEMO – Port Digital Twin – Enabling Tracking of CO₂ Emissions

[qodef_separator class_name="" type="normal" position="center" color="" border_style="" width="" thickness="" top_margin="" bottom_margin=""] By integrating energy consumption and on-site renewable generation data, the platform consolidates information into a single carbon view, with emissions classified by both source and scope. [qodef_separator class_name="" type="normal" position="center" color="" border_style="" width="" thickness="" top_margin="" bottom_margin=""] The demonstration achieved an important milestone: two years of operational data were collected—twice the original objective. The solution now enables reporting of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions at Port Authority level, providing a stronger foundation for tracking performance and supporting informed decarbonisation decisions. [vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] We’re excited to share the latest PIONEERS demonstrator video showcasing -  A Corridor of Modular Docking Stations for Energy Containers.  [qodef_separator class_name="" type="normal" position="center" color="" border_style="" width="" thickness="" top_margin="" bottom_margin=""] One promising solution being developed within the PIONEERS consortium by partner ZES is battery-electric sailing. This concept relies on large battery containers, known as ZESpacks, which store advanced lithium-ion energy to power barges. When a ZESpack runs out of charge, it can be quickly swapped for a fully charged unit at modular docking stations located along a defined network. This swap system eliminates downtime, allowing vessels to continue sailing without delays or harmful emissions. New Drop: DEMO – Energy Generation from Water Currents

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] We’re excited to share the latest PIONEERS demonstrator video showcasing the Energy Generation from Water Currents – Green Hydropower Platform.   This innovative solution builds on the collaboration between De Meyer NV and Port of Antwerp-Bruges to develop an integrated Green Hydropower Platform designed for various types of port infrastructure.
